9. Clone recipe – if you’re making 2 similar products, make one recipe, clone it, and then add and / or remove particular ingredients and you have made a second recipe quickly and easily

10. Ingredient and recipe costings – add your ingredients cost, and the portal will calculate your recipe cost

11. Yield – if a recipe involves a long cooking process, (e.g. a bolognaise sauce) you will make a yield loss on your product from ingoing ingredients to finished cooked product. Adding I a yield percent, will accommodate for this

12. Paid Verification Service – have our experienced Food Scientists work through your product label – from ingredients entry, through the full development of your recipe, checking every step is correct, and compliant (recommended for the first three products you make)

What you need to get started:

plan - how do you want your data to be laid out in the portal (add screen shots - product categories) gather - raw material information, sub-recipes, recipes, pack weights, cooking yields for your products (add screen shots) check - look through the raw materials in the portal - is there all the ingredients to make your product? If yes, make a note of which raw material you will use in which recipe, so you can find it again when you are building products. if not, ensure you have the information to add the ingredient into the portal organise - plan out what recipes you need to build, and the best order to build them - add any raw materials, build sub-recipes, build recipes. there is the ability to clone recipes within the portal, so if you have the same product with one change (eg pics - iced doughnuts with 2 different sprinkles) make one then clone, change the one ingredient and you're done.

gather and organise your information - raw materials, sub recipes, finished products RAW MATERIALS Raw Materials - within the portal are many ingredients FSANZ - pre-loaded ingredients - fruits vegetables meats spices single ingredient pantry goods (screen shots - FSANZ ingredients) MBL - pre loaded ingredients - add some detail here Raw Materials - your ingredients not in the portal that you will need to add what you need to do to add a raw material ingredient - screen shots & videos raw material specifications, product photos - can upload etc. SUB-RECIPES these are your recipes that are used as part of your finished products - cake batters, icings, fillings, stuffings, seasoning mixes, marinades, mixes that become part of a finished product when you create them, they will essentially be in the recipes section, as well as the raw materials section of the portal recipes can be for any quantity, don't have to be for any specific amount have your recipes planned out, so you can make all your sub-recipes before you start building recipes

FINISHED PRODUCTS your product recipes - can be simple (a BBQ Rub - pic), or complex - an iced and decorated cupcake (pic), or a roast chicken, stuffed, and coated with a marinade (pic) the finished weight of the retail product needs to be known, and if it is cooked, the yield information needs to be known (explain this)
