RAW MATERIALS Raw Materials - within the portal there are many items pre-loaded. the ingredients, nutrition information and country of origin information is all in place, ready to be used in a recipe FSANZ - pre-loaded ingredients - fruits, vegetables, meats, spices, single ingredient pantry goods (screen shots - FSANZ ingredients) what information is there for each ingredient: (SCREEN SHOTS) Ingredient name as it is listed in the search information Ingredient name as it is listed in a product ingredient declaration Nutrition information Country of Origin information - as the bulk of these ingredients are fresh products, it is assumed they are 100 % AU. If you use an imported product it will be best to make it as a new ingredient, so as the % AU is accurate MBL - pre loaded ingredients - these are ingredients that are sold by MBL in Adelaide. They are a large bakery and butchery ingredients supplier. There are single ingredient ingredients pre-loaded that could be used by anyone using the portal - herbs and spices, salts and peppers. These will predominantly be sourced from overseas. There are also many ingredients that are butchery premixes, and marinade bases that should not be used if you are not purchasing that exact product from MBL. There are serious declarable allergen and country of origin labelling ramifications if an ingredient is used that is not the exact ingredient you are using. These are all in UPPERCASE in the ingredient portal. If you have a query regarding any of these ingredients, pop a note in hte chatbot with your email/phone number, and someone will contact you regarding this. If you are a MBL customer using the portal, you can search by item number for the exact ingredient you purchase. Ingredient Descriptor - this is for compound ingredients (ingredients with more than one ingredient), and will be the term used in the ingredient information. E.G. Marinade, Crumb, Stock Base

Ingredient Category - you can group your added ingredients, for easier searching - there are pre-loaded categories, or you can add your own - this is optional, do not need to use

Ingredients Listing - this is for compound ingredients (ingredients with more than one ingredient), and is the ingredients of your compound ingredient - there is no need to put it in brackets - the portal will do that for you - if you are adding a single ingredient ingredient this can remain blank Image - optional - you can add a pic of the product and/or packaging Declarable Allergens - these are AU prescribed declarable allergens - you must check your ingredient and indicate any declarable allergens here % Australian Ingredient - this will be on you specification or packaging. This must be added Nutrition information This is the per 100g information from the nutrition information panel.
